PrintWeek India Awards 2013 invites entries: Welbound sponsors Book Printer of the Year Award

The fifth edition of PrintWeek India Awards, scheduled to be in September 2013, has its stage set to celebrate the best in Indian print. The 2013 Awards event offers Six PWI Performance Awards and 19 PWI Quality Awards to the winning entries in different categories, including the PWI Book Printer of the Year 2013 Awards

Welbound is pleased to continue the tradition of recognising those within the book printing segment, who while encountering new challenges, facilitate efficiency in finding the right solutions. Welbound is the sponsor of the prestigious PrintWeek India Book Printer of the Year 2013 Awards.

All the samples of last year’s winner, Jak Printers, featured hardcase binds with jacket. Their book – Saris Splendour in Threads won accolades for the unusual metpet foil laminated jacket and the hot foil stamped hardcase cover and the inside pages produced with Sappi-Magno Satin paper. Another submission – Ashavans: A Legacy of Leadership’s special feature included gilding on the edge of the book block. The hardcase cover was themal matt laminated while the jacket was embossed with liberal use of spot UV gloss.

According to PrintWeek India, “All the Awards entries represent industry leaders who are taking bold steps to run their operations more effectively and their products bring greater service to their customers.”

Every Awards entrant must submit four print jobs per entry. While the description should consist of a full set of technical specifications, it is important that all of them are produced in India.

Submit your entries soon, before the deadline, 15 July, 2013.
